Make Time for God’s Rest
Based on Hebrews 4:9–11
There remains, then, a Sabbath-rest for the people of God; for anyone who enters God's rest also rests from his own work, just as God did from his. Let us, therefore, make every effort to enter that rest, so that no one will fall by following their example of disobedience.
We need to be in God, just as he is in us. If we give him little of our time, if we spend our time doing other things other than being with him, then we are not in him. Despite the fact that he is still in us, the enemy has distracted us from that presence and that power so that we become cars with a bad driver. We become Hal from 2001. We become Eve who gave credence to the serpent when he had her question God. It will sound plausible.
Of the pastors who fall, the vast majority of them had let their spiritual disciplines drop.
